july randoms

Dr. Malone (the man who signs my paycheck!) turned 50 on July 10th. We made dozens of signs and hung them outside and all over the office. We cut out black crows for weeks behind his back. His computer and office were wrapped in table paper and his pictures hung in every exam room. Below are a few of my favorites...

the obsession with balls continues...

dingleberries (yes, it's what you think it is)

Funny story from the other night. We had just given the boys a bath together and I had Sam, towel, diaper in my arms. Here is how it went down:

Courtney: Trip can you grab sam's pajamas, my hands are full.
Trip: sure, where are they? Does he need long sleeves or a onesie, etc?
Courtney: Long sleeves, I guess.
Trip: Here ya go. Oh I forgot I had a naked baby in the other room! He sure is quiet in there. Let me go check on him.
Micah: running and laughing
Trip: oh my gosh there is a terd on the floor!
Courtney (still with hands full): Ahhh, he stepped in it and it's all over his foot!
Micah: still laughing and unaware and now climbing into his chair
Courtney: Oh no there is still some stuck to his bootie!
Trip: freaking out and looking for a wipe
Courtney: laughing so hard I almost drop the baby
Micah was sitting happily in the chair at this point. We were so stunned that we didn't even know where to start. EWWWWWWWWWWW!

I don't think we are quite ready for potty training!

The Zoo trip

Maggie, Chase and I took Micah and Knox to the zoo this weekend. They had an awesome time seeing and petting all the animals.

We couldn't get Knox the monkey to sit still for a pic. He is a climber!

Micah copied everything Knox did.

doing puzzles with the twins. Maggie, thanks for letting all those boys I (and Allie!) terrorize your house Friday night. We had so much fun.

Rain, rain go away

sam is getting so big so fast. he smiles all the time now and laughs outloud. Micah's new favorite phrases are "mama/dada do it" "ashes ashes all fall down" "bye bye school" and "no no chloe/mardi"
Micah is still obsessed with balls. he got this new football last week and will not part with it. He sleeps, eats and rides in the car with it.

these are the ONLY shoes Micah will wear. When we try anything else (Oxfords, sandals, cowboy boots, swim shoes, Anything!) he screams for his "blue shoes".
taking advantage of a few dry hours on Memorial Day weekend.

Crawfish, cousins and crazy hair!

sumo wrestler?
trip decided he could cut micah's hair. his explanation "i have been watching people cut my hair for 30 years and it can't be that hard"
Needless to say we will be visiting miss Lisa sometime this weekend. Thanks for trying dada!

he watched the crawfish intently, but would have no part in touching them
